Niagara Health has unveiled the first next-generation CT scanner in Canada at the Marotta Family Hospital, marking a major milestone in its diagnostic imaging transformation.
The advanced scanner delivers clearer images, faster results, and reduced radiation exposure, improving both patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
In August alone, more than 2,000 patients benefited from the new technology.
This upgrade is part of the CT Scanner Replacement Project, which will soon see a second scanner installed at the Marotta Family Hospital, followed by new scanners in Niagara Falls and Welland.
Niagara Health says the initiative not only enhances patient care but also gives frontline staff state-of-the-art tools to provide the highest quality service.
The project is supported by the Niagara Health Foundation and community donors.
