The Ontario government is launching efficiency reviews of eight major public agencies.
Treasury Board President Peter Bethlenfalvy says the goal is to ensure spending remains sustainable while protecting frontline services.
Agencies under review include Metrolinx, the LCBO, Legal Aid Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
Opposition parties question the timing, saying the announcement comes amid scrutiny over government spending.
