Online harm is now being identified as the top threat facing children in Canada, according to the latest Raising Canada report.
Statistics Canada also reported a 53% increase in police-reported online luring offences involving children between 2018 and 2022.
In Niagara, more than 300 children and youth have already visited the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre this year to meet with police.
Its Kids First Project provides free, age-appropriate presentations for students from junior kindergarten through Grade 12.
The program teaches kids about online privacy, red flags, manipulation, healthy boundaries and when to ask a trusted adult for help.
