A woman is dead and a man seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in Wainfleet on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a black 2017 Kia Sportage was travelling north on Burnaby Road at a high rate of speed when it lost control and overturned in a ditch.
The 67-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 67-year-old male driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Niagara Regional Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
