Investigation includes Montreal, Markham, Port Hope, Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, the GTA
A North York man has been charged in connection to a human trafficking investigation in Port Colborne.
NRPS says the investigation started with a traffic stop on Saturday, which involved a number of cities including Montreal, Markham, Port Hope, Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, the Greater Toronto area.
As a result, 31-year-old Jamal Cooper-Batiste has been charged with human trafficking and failure to comply with probation.
Due to the nature of the investigation, detectives have reason to believe there are additional witnesses and are urging anyone with information to forward.
