Early Monday, March 24, officers responded to Carlton Street and Athlone Place around 3:40 a.m. following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help, particularly from anyone who was in the Carlton Street area between Vine Street and Geneva Street between 3:30 a.m. and 3:42 a.m.

Investigators are seeking dashcam footage or any witnesses who may have seen or heard suspicious activity.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
