Ellis brings over 20 years of experience to the role
Niagara Region has announced the appointment of Tim Ellis as its new Commissioner of Corporate Services, effective July 7.
Ellis brings over 20 years of experience in financial and organizational leadership within Ontario’s education and public sectors.
Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Trillium Lakelands District School Board, where he led major improvements to long-term planning and budgeting processes.
His career also includes senior leadership roles with York Region, Toronto District School Board, and Toronto Catholic District School Board.
In his new role, Ellis will oversee a wide range of critical services, including Legal and Court Services, Procurement, IT, Asset Management, Facilities, Construction and Energy Management, as well as Financial Planning.
