There's a new tick in town this summer...and this one's carrying a serious bacterial infection.
Vet Courtney Thomas fills us in.
So far, the tick has only been found in one location in Ontario, Long Point Campground on Lake Erie. Four dogs have had it.
Symptoms include not eating, a rash and running a fever but it can be treated with the same antibiotic as lyme disease.
Humans can get Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever as well, and just like dogs - it can be serious if not treated.
