Heart patients in Niagara now have access to more advanced care closer to home.
Niagara Health has opened a new state-of-the-art angiography suite at the Marotta Family Hospital, allowing doctors to perform more complex cardiac procedures with advanced imaging technology.
The new equipment also introduces intravascular ultrasound, giving specialists a clearer view inside arteries and reducing the need for some patients to travel outside the region for treatment.
The upgrade was funded through the Niagara Health Foundation.
