The Welland Jackfish defeated the Barrie Baycats in dramatic fashion to pick up a win in Game 1 of the IBL Championship Series.
Last night at the pond, it was once again Robert Mullen who delivered a playoff walk-off hit, to lift the Fish to victory of the Baycats 6-5.
Mullen came to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, and snuck a single by the infield to score Jonah Weisner and give the Jackfish a 1-0 series lead.
On the mound, Pedro De Los Santos struck out four over three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.
Game 2 is Tuesday night in Barrie (7:35pm), while the series will shift back to Welland on Thursday for Game 3 (7:15pm).
