The Welland Jackfish are now just one win away from their third Dominico Cup, and second in a row.
The Jackfish defeated the Hamilton Cardinals 7-5 Sunday to take a commanding 3-0 series lead in the best-of-seven championship series.
Daiki Abe's triple brought in a pair of runs as Welland scored three in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead, a lead they would not surrender.
Gianfranco Morello, the team's longest-tenured player, went 2-for-4 himself with an RBI and scored two times in the victory.
Game four goes Wednesday night at The Pond in Welland, first pitch at 7:05pm.
