The Niagara IceDogs split their Michigan road trip, picking up a win in Flint to cap things off Saturday evening.
Ryerson Edgar scored his first of his sophmore season for Niagara in the dying moments of the first period against the Firebirds, also adding an assist on the game's opening goal.
In net, it was rookie netminder Connor Haffner who made 41 saves on 43 shots on route to a 5-2 win for Niagara, who now sits at 2-2-0 on the young season.
