Police say suspect made unsuccessful payments at a local business
Niagara Regional Police have charged a Fort Erie man following a fraud investigation at a St. Catharines business.
Officers were called to a store near Geneva Street and the North Service Road around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, after reports of suspicious payment activity.
Police say a man selected over $5,000 worth of merchandise and made multiple unsuccessful payment attempts, raising suspicions of fraud.
Detectives from the NRPS Fraud Unit continued the investigation, and on June 24, 53-year-old Kevin Lutchmansingh was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
