Students in the District School Board of Niagara are outperforming the provincial average in all eight areas measured by the latest EQAO assessments.
The DSBN says its students scored between five and 16 percentage points higher than the province in reading, writing and math.
Grade 3 students scored 86 per cent in reading, 80 per cent in writing and 81 per cent in math.
Grade 6 students scored 94 per cent in both reading and writing, and 68 per cent in math.
Grade 9 math results were 68 per cent, compared with 59 per cent provincially.
And 91 per cent of DSBN Grade 10 students passed the literacy test, compared with 86 per cent across Ontario.
