Canal Days, Ribfest and Concerts on the Canal highlight busy Civic Holiday weekend
If you're looking for something to do this Civic Holiday long weekend, there's lots going on around the region.
Canal Days makes its return to Port Colborne, with live music, tall ship rides and more happening throughout the city's downtown core and waterfront area.
In St. Catharines, it's the return of the annual Rotary Ribfest at Montebello Park, while Welland will be hosting Spencer McKenzie tonight as part of its Concerts on the Canal series.
Monday, August 3rd, isn’t a statutory holiday in Ontario, but it’s still widely observed. Some businesses and services will adjust their hours or shut down for the day...but you'll find many stores, including grocery stores, open in most cases.
It’s still a good idea to call ahead to check if you're unsure.
