Brock expert keeping a close eye on new Canadian Sport Policy

The Canadian Sport Policy 2025–2035 could usher in a decade of change for how Canadians participate in, access, and experience sport, says Brock University Associate Professor of Sport Management Kyle Rich.

Rich has been closely tracking the policy renewal through his national research on how provincial and territorial sport policies are developed and implemented.

As Principal Investigator of the Regional Perspectives of Sport Policy Implementation project, he leads a pan-Canadian study exploring how regional policy decisions shape sport opportunities in communities across the country.

Working directly with local sport organizations, Rich’s team aims to guide policy interventions that expand access and encourage more Canadians to get involved in sport.
