Funding is part of $4.2-million across Ontario
The Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre is getting a funding boost.
A provincial funding announcement of $600,000 over three years was announced late last week, which will help staff stand by young victims and witnesses.
The Child Victim Witness Program is aimed at reducing trauma for young people that have to testify in court, with non-intimidating and child-friendly spaces at the centre helping do this.
The funding is part of a $4.2-million expansion of the program across Ontario.
