
Niagara Regional Police says 13 commercial vehicles were taken off the road recently because of safety issues.
Police teamed with the Ministry of Transportation, the Town of Lincoln, and the Niagara Region for a joint commercial motor vehicle enforcement initiative on August 7th.
A total of 26 commercial vehicles were inspected, with 13 removed from the road due to serious safety issues.
In all, 13 charges were laid for violations including defective tires and brakes, improper daily inspections, expired permits, insecure loads, and exceeding registered weight limits.
