What's Good in Niagara? Portion of Queen Street in Niagara Falls to be named after Rick Rose

Rose passed away last summer at the age of 64

A legend in the Niagara music community is being honoured in Niagara Falls.

Rick Rose passed away last summer at the age of 64 at Greater Niagara General Hospital. Since his passing, a number of tributes have been held in the Niagara region, including a a songwriters tribute last November.

Now, a portion of Queen Street in Niagara Falls will be renamed after Rose.

Local musician Rob Repovs says his impact was on people, not just music.

On June 7th, a celebration is being held at Taps Brewhouse in Niagara Falls.

Repovs says donations will be accepted, with money raised helping aspiring musicians.

Throughout his career, Rose had an online radio station, a music school, and was an attraction for many to see live in the region.
