What's Good in Niagara? Food banks in need of donations during winter months

The need for food at food banks across Canada is growing - including in the Niagara Region.

Jennifer Sinclair from The Hope Centre in Welland says they're seeing the number of people served rise each and every year.

Sinclair says food donations such as canned meats and pasta sauces are important this time of year, but there's a need for so many different things as well.

Sinclair says support like food drives throughout the year help a ton.

The Hope Centre offers a wide range of services that help individuals and families in Welland that are facing challenges related to poverty including mental health, addictions, food insecurity and housing instability.
