Record breaking year as Julia's Hope Cup passes $85,000 raised

The Julia's Hope Cup once again surpassed expectations in Welland.

The pond hockey tournament, held every year during the Family Day Long weekend, raised over $85,000 last weekend in support of The Hope Centre in Welland, well over its $60,000 goal.

Held in honour of Julia Turner, who passed away 15 years ago, the event helps keep The Hope Centre's food bank stocked, while also helping with other services provided by the hub.

Donations can still be made online until the end of February.
